Out of these 427, 116 companies have joined Biomedicine Cluster, 109 — the Energy Cluster, and 142 companies became part of the IT Cluster. An active application selection process is being carried out for the Space Technologies and Communications Cluster, which currently houses 28 companies, and the Nuclear Technologies Cluster encompassing 27 residents. Each week Skolkovo Foundation receives over 50 new applications.

Up to date, Skolkovo Foundation has approved the issue of 102 non-dilutive grants for a total amount of over 6.3 billion RUR, and secured third-party cofinancing into those projects for a total amount of over 4.4 billion RUR. Innovators

Participants of the Skolkovo Innovation Centre are those companies, which have proposed innovative solutions to the most significant scientific, social and economic problems. We encourage innovations in five key branches – clusters.

Each of five clusters brings together companies, which have submitted an application for participating in the Skolkovo Project. The priority is given to the projects that are able to change the face of the market or introduce new, second-to-none products and technologies. As of today, the Skolkovo Innovation Centre has 369 participating companies.

The applications for participation in the Skolkovo Project are considered by Expert Boards, specially created for each cluster. Both Russian and international scientists, venture investors and entrepreneurs are members of these boards. Ten experts from the relevant cluster, which were selected from a general list by random sampling, take part in the consideration of each project. Herewith, each cluster cooperates with not less than 30 experts.

The companies, which have acquired the status of Participant, are entitled to apply for a grant for the implementation of their innovative projects. Decisions about allocation of the grants are taken by the Investment Committee, which is composed of employees of the Skolkovo Foundation and independent experts, in accordance with the investment policy. At the moment 40 companies have received grants for project implementation.
